Henrico Adult Education

Session 1: September 14, 2026-November 24, 2026
Session 2: November 30, 2026-March 5, 2027
Session 3: March 8, 2027-May 14, 2027

GED Registration

Adult basic education classes help adult students improve their reading, writing and math skills. Classes are for adults ages 18 and older who are not currently enrolled in a private or public high school. An official school withdrawal form may be required for students who have recently withdrawn from high school.

GED registration for 26-27

- Register at the location they plan to attend.
  - Highland Springs campus registration:
    - 201 E. Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, VA 23075
  - Regency campus registration:
    - 1420 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229
- Must provide a government-issued photo ID.
- Students enrolling will be asked to provide documentation verifying either citizenship or eligible immigration status. A staff member will be available to discuss details of this requirement during each registration session.
- Take a placement test (TABE) to determine class level (process takes two days). Plan to stay 2.5 hours on first day, 1.5 hours on second day.
- Registration sessions will end on Thursday, 3/25/27.
- Students will be provided a written communication once the TABE test has been completed with their class assignment, GED orientation date, and class start date.
Registration begins Wednesday, 8/5/26, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. You must arrive no later than 6:00 pm.
- Mondays/Wednesdays: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Tuesdays/Thursdays: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Registration begins Monday, 8/3/26
- Mondays/Wednesdays: 9:00 am-11:30 am
  *Arrive no later than 8:45 am to sign-in.
- Tuesdays/Thursdays: 6:00 pm-8:30 pm
  *Arrive no later than 5:45 pm to sign-in.

Pay at Your Location

Fees are due at the time of registration.
Pay with check/exact cash by 3:00pm ONLY AT HIGHLAND SPRINGS CAMPUS – (Made out to Henrico County Public Schools)
