GED Program Information

General Educational Development Test (GED)

After graduating high school, a diploma is given for completing all the required work. For those that don’t complete high school, there is the GED series of tests that can be completed for a required level of education.

The tests are computer-based and include the following subjects:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

You will take four separate tests that together make up the entire GED exam. Each test takes at least one hour, and you must get a certain score to pass. You can schedule one test at a time or all four at once.

Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP)

This program is designed for those students ages 16 1/2 and older, who are enrolled in high school programs, and who are having difficulty finding success in the regular classroom environment. Students must contact their School Counseling Office at their prospective Henrico County High School to participate in this program.

For more information, contact Mark Koch (ISAEP Coordinator) at (804) 527-4660.

Program is available at our East End and West End locations.
